Design, manufacture and production of haute couture garments based on European standards and trends. What makes these pieces special are the hand embroidered details of native Mexicans. While the products are marketed in foreign markets, the economic well-being of the embroiderers is enhanced.
"At TEMIK, they adopt the cultural riches of Mexico, which are shaped by exceptional work techniques and ancestral products, to innovate, adapt and market them in foreign markets," says its representative at BBVA Momentum, Carlos Enrique Villanueva.
This goal is being achieved thanks to unique designs created by the Mexican designer, Elihu Salazar, who has a design school in the main European fashion capitals (Madrid, Paris and London) and has more than 15 years of work experience in brands such as Inditex-ZARA, brands in DUBAI and Shanghai, and KIABI in France.
Temik's mission is to market artisanal techniques of Mexican natives through a high-quality textile brand that adheres to the market trends to which they are targeted: Europe and California. Its objective is to market Mexican products in a different way for a social purpose.
Temik plans to increase the profits of the embroiderers, giving a source of formal employment to 300 indigenous women who are in marginalized regions and of high craftsmanship, such as the municipalities of the Sierra de Puebla and Chilac.
