This industry in Colombia aims to implement energy efficiency programs and reduce energy consumption and the impact on the environment. Sun Supply helps its customers to offset their energy consumption through solar energy, while mitigating their environmental impact by participating in its energy efficiency programs to reduce their carbon footprint, and in its environmental initiatives.
This social enterprise has three business lines: Business, Rural and Home. Each line has its own products:
1. Solar charging stations: Solar energy charging stations for mobile devices and laptops in open spaces that are sold and rented by the day.
2. Lighting the public space: Sale and installation.
3. Solar plants for self-consumption and energy support: Design, sale and installation.
These products are commercialized through various channels. "Our largest sales channel is trade fairs and specialized events related with our sector (renewable energy and sustainable development) where we make contact with our potential and target customers”, explains the director Carlos Andrés Martos. “We also build databases with contacts in fields to do with the environment, infrastructure and the administration of organizations within our target market, in order to contact them by phone, send them information by e-mail, and schedule appointments”.
