The creators of the social enterprise Parallel 40 are very clear that audiovisual elements can change awareness. Their business project is based on the passion for an audiovisual format in which the social document is the raw material of this enterprise that wants to find new ways of reaching more viewers.
As well as generating awareness, Parallel 40 also has the goal of generating industry, "so that there are people who earn their living with this and it is not a marginal activity; and that it is also useful to society," says its managing director Joan González.
The idea of Parallel 40 came to Joan after a long break from his job as a TV director. "I had to decide whether to return or launch myself into an adventure; and the adventure was to set up a company in the documentary field. There was no market; the most likely scenario was that we would last for two years; but if we proved capable of making plants grow in the desert, these plants would be strong."
