If you walk down the Tallers street in Barcelona, you may pass by a store offering what look like tasty-looking goods. Behind the appearance of traditional premises is a social enterprise belonging to the Futur Foundation that offers food daily to some 300 people at risk of social exclusion.

Eduard Vicente, director of the foundation, defines Menjafutur as simply a store offering prepared food. "When we opened the store, we signed some agreements with social organizations that have users without any means of support," says Eduard. These entities distribute the tickets (called Ticket Futur) to people with limited means.

Menjafutur also looks after the elderly and people with limited mobility who can have meals delivered to their homes. The deliveries are transported ecologically and sustainably by bicycle.
