La Tavella was created through an initiative by the non-profit entity Viver de Bell-lloc Foundation which in 2012 joined the Santo Tomás association. This union inspired the path that La Tavella would take: an instrument for social and employment integration for people at risk of social exclusion through the recovery of traditional agriculture and organic livestock.
La Tavella controls the whole cycle, from production in its fruit and vegetable gardens and fields of healthy, fresh and quality produce that respect the environment, to distribution at the homes of users to maintain the principle of proximity of consumption.
La Tavella has created sustainable jobs thanks to work with crops and with animals, as well as giving new life and value to traditional agriculture.
