Ingeobosque's begins with the collection and
sorting of information, the subsequent development of mathematical and ecological models and, finally, the formulation of management measures based on economic indicators.
Ingeobosque uses the information to develop environmental sustainability indicators and indicators on the use of ecosystem goods and services in areas of special interest in the Department of Antioquia. "Our multidisciplinary team of master's graduates with a background in research and the implementation of applied sciences to the management of ecosystems and their relationship with communities and society," explain company managers Darío Jiménez and Laura Flórez. "As a private non-profit organization, our track record includes projects with public and private entities, including private consulting firms and universities. Our work is regionally recognized for its high quality."
The use of data and information will be in high demand in the future: "Robust indicators on the use of natural resources and ecosystem goods and services will allow generating public policies of interest to decision makers".
