The Pharos Foundation is a social enterprise that offers rehabilitation, therapy and recovery services for people with addiction problems. They use the Minnesota method, a model described by one of the creators of the project, Gonzalo Goizueta as "spiritual growth, personal dignity and commitment to the concept of disease without cure, but with continuous care toward recovery."
The Minnesota method is very intense and short. According to those responsible, it is at the cutting edge in terms of current knowledge of treatment for all kinds of addictive diseases. The Pharos Foundation chose this method because it believed in and was convinced of its significant level of effectiveness. "To start with, because of the comprehensive nature of the treatment, which is something that does not exist in the current research environment on drug addiction," explains Gonzalo.
The duration of the rehabilitation for the drug addict to be completely cured is one year. The Foundation is committed to geographical expansion across Spain to increase the impact of its addiction rehabilitation model and to benefit from the potential market in the large cities in the country.
