Thanks to the work and research of Concepto Industrial, glass is now beginning to take center stage in companies. Headquartered in Pontevedra, this company has shown how any surface can be transformed into a co-working desk, a blackboard or a projection screen, and it has done so with a social conscience. This can be seen from its investment in R+D+i to ensure that its activity respects the environment and generates jobs for people with disability. “We work with processes where we recycle and use recyclable or recycled materials. Our packaging is reusable and the lacquers we use for coloring our glass are silica-based”, explains Lola Palacio, founder of Concepto I.

Its customers include large companies like Google or Apple, who are attracted by the quality and sustainability of their product: “They've sought us out –they've seen us on the Internet, in publications, and heard about the awards we've received– and they've come to us”, says Lola.

Their work also consists of generating a change in mindset in the entrepreneurial class, inculcating the idea of ethics and sustainable growth. Their secret is to preach by example: "I think that one major obstacle to change today is that society believes that being ethical and transparent is not compatible with generating wealth… This is our mission".
