Mateo Dornier founded Campo Vivo in 2007 to offer a complete range of organic products. According to Mateo, fair trade, certified agriculture and total and absolute respect for the environment are the three pillars on which the enterprise is based.
Initially, Mateo lived with a number of farmers to get to know at firsthand how they work and what their problems are; and to find a distribution channel that offered fair payment for their products. Campo Vivo decided to find solutions for these problems by constructing a strong distribution company that could place these products in Mexican supermarkets.
Campo Vivo has managed to create up to 800 points of sale and employ 40 people directly. But its great achievement, according to Mateo, is to create this distribution channel for its farmers.
