The goal of Cafetzin is to contribute toward the development of Mexican rural areas by toasting coffee from small Mexican farmers. The coffees sold are small batches produced each season, reflecting the harvest in which they were collected. This means Cafetzin ensures it offers the freshest results in harvest and taste.
Its founders stress its traceability, social and environmental sustainability and transparency, with the coffee workers receiving a fair payment for their work.
Casa Cafetzin works with small farmers in the Oxaca and Veracruz area. It certifies that their practices meet the standards of good conduct that it promotes. The idea has its origins in the desire to provide a showcase for indigenous coffee producers who do not have the opportunity to display their products on the market.
The idea of "community" is strongly present in the vocabulary of this enterprise. "Giving means a lot to us, because first of all we are here thanks to the love and support of the community. Our main ingredients are Mexican, as we want to support the rural areas and Mexican producers."
