Biryudumkitap.com plans are to continue expanding their services with a mobile application that will facilitate the appearance of a new paid subscription for non-fiction books. “Our goal is to be the Netflix for books.”
In addition to many local awards, Biryudumkitap came in second place in the Qatar National Bank entrepreneurship contest in Turkey, in which 500 business enterprises participated. For the first time in Turkey, a social enterprise was rewarded with an important prize in a contest organized by a giant corporation: “Our success has resonated in the media and social enterprise ecosystem.” Biryudumkitap is a member of Ashoka CXC, Bosch Alumni Network, Laurent Universities Turkey (Bilgi) Social Entrepreneurship Fellow, and Youth Action Net (International Youth Foundation, U.S.A.) Global Fellow.
The main goal of Biryudumkitap is to resolve the problems of society through reading. “We believe that with only 5 minutes of reading a day, new worlds can be dreamed of, new words learned, reading fictional dialogs can solve many problems if it becomes a common practice among people.” explains Muhammed. They also approach the topic of quality education for the goals of sustainable development. “Knowledge is the foundation of education, and books are full of information.” Biryudumkitap has developed an innovative approach to the problem of education and are resolving the problem of society's lack of reading. “We believe that problems of conflict and communication can be prevented through reading.”
