Aguateros is a social enterprise that promotes development and innovation through solutions that inspire healthier consumption habits and that are environmentally friendly.

This company is dedicated to developing environmentally friendly technology: "We currently have a distribution system for mineral water that we sell cold, hot, room temperature and sparkling, using smart machines to fill the customer's own recipient or to buy it in a recyclable cup," explains its founder, Marcela Mesa. In this way, Aguateros seeks to eliminate the use of single-use plastics: "It is aimed at people who care about the planet and/or seek healthier consumption options." It also boosts the consumption of mineral water: "It is healthier than simple drinking water or tap water, since it conserves the minerals that the body needs for proper hydration."

The smart machines with which drinks are sold are easy to manufacture and install, and they feature the latest technology advances: IoT, robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analysis, blockchain, payments with mobile app and NFC, among others. "The goal is to scale up the business quickly so that people can find Aguateros everywhere. We can install between 10 and 20 every month."

The company collaborates with other social and environmental organizations by publicizing its activity and encouraging donations. Among these is the Jerónimo Emiliani Foundation, with which they collaborate in development projects that work to supply sustainable drinking water in the most vulnerable communities of Colombia.
