Social issue: Digital solutions with high social impact

The mission of this Colombian social enterprise is to offer innovative solutions to its customers through information technologies, to improve their businesses and enable them to achieve their business objectives. The core of the company is its staff who, using the latest technology, contribute to increasing productivity and lowering the company's costs. "We are proving that high technology does not have to be a limiting factor for SMEs around the world," explains founder Juan Carlos Abaunza.

The philosophy of this enterprise is to reduce the carbon footprint as much as possible and to fight against the social exclusion of those who live in remote cities or towns, and of people with physical disabilities. They do this through telework: "80% of the members of the company are from intermediate provinces and cities that carry out their activities without leaving the family setting," says Juan Carlos. "45% of our workers got their first job because of the way we work. The carbon footprint and mobility, generated by us, is positive thanks to telework."

Their method of work has allowed them to grow at a good pace: "The possibilities for growth are not limited by geographical location in the country, access to human talent or physical infrastructure." The outlook for the future centers on expanding the organization's positive impact: "We want to employ more and more people with physical disabilities, mothers who are heads of household and undergraduate students (current and graduates) who are getting their first job."
